The Pew Center on Global Climate Change
Background
The Pew Center on Global Climate Change was established in 1998 by The Pew Charitable Trusts, an influential voice in efforts to improve the quality of the environment. With a full-time staff of 20 based in Arlington, Virginia, and an annual budget of $4.2 million, the Pew Center strives to provide "credible information, straight answers, and innovative solutions" to address global warming.
Over the past eight years, the non-partisan Pew Center has issued and publicized close to 100 reports on climate change, addressing environmental warning signs, the economic impact, as well as business and policy recommendations.
